Power Amalgam
A Hammer Amalgam that spends every stat on damage — Berserker's and Dragon's under
Scholar, with
Flux State for the push.
Experimental Union swaps your tool belt for morph skills and your utilities for stances, and this build feeds both: the stances trigger
Stainless Steel, the morphs get recharged and buffed by
Symbiotic Synergy.
Why these traits
Symbiotic Synergy is pure offence — Evolve recharges your morph skills and morphs deal increased strike damage — and the
Willing Host minor adds a damage buff for a duration after each one, so the tool belt is a rotation, not a panic button.
Stainless Steel is the defensive pick: every stance (
Plasmatic State,
Flux State) and every Evolve converts conditions on you into boons, and it is the only condition answer the build carries.
Silver Lining moves the strain bonuses onto the morph skills themselves rather than banking them into Evolve, which suits a build that presses morphs on cooldown. Explosives and Firearms are the flat power core:
Glass Cannon wants you above its health threshold,
Big Boomer wants the target below yours (and heals you when an explosion lands),
High Caliber and
No Scope only pay inside melee range — all of which asks you to be healthy and close in Berserker's gear.
Gear reasoning
Scholar is six lines of power and ferocity and not one point of defence, so every scrap of survivability comes from the prefix — that is the whole reason the Dragon's pieces are there, alongside the
Barrier
Hybrid Vigor gives you on each morph.
Force on both sets is flat damage,
Impact adds more against stunned or knocked-down foes (
Thunderclap is your own source), and
Bloodlust accrues power off kills.
Thief stacks strike damage on every weapon skill with a recharge, so it wants you cycling hammer and
Elixir Gun rather than autoattacking.
When not to run it
This build slots no
Stability.
Solid State is the Amalgam stance that grants it, and you are trading it away for
Plasmatic State's damage — so a hammer build with no defensive stat is standing in the bomb with nothing to hold it there. It does have range and an exit (
Elixir Gun is a ranged kit and
Acid Bomb is a backward leap), but neither is a reason to bring it to a ranged trade or a fight where you will be the one focused. For the same power core with
Superspeed and its own
Stability, take the power build on the Scrapper hub.
